Description

The mission of the Investigator-Initiated Studies Program (IISP) is to advance the delivery of quality healthcare by supporting investigator-initiated original research that will enhance the understanding of disease entities and their treatment. This program is open to all academic and community-based physicians and researchers worldwide who are interested in conducting their own research. The Merck IIS Program consists of Committees of medical and scientific staff from different therapeutic areas who meet regularly to review investigator-initiated study proposals. Grants are awarded based on the scientific merit of the proposal. Information related to areas of interest, requirements for submitting a brief summary (Letter of Intent) or full proposal, the grant submission process and contact information can be found by clicking on the appropriate link for your area of interest at https://www.merckiisp.com/default.aspx. The current IISP areas supported are:

Additional Deadline Notes

Most of the Committees meet once a month (check https://www.merckiisp.com/default.aspx for the meeting schedules). Proposals need to be submitted at least a week prior to the meeting date in order to be included on the agenda.
