The University of Toronto is one of the most research intensive institutions in North America, with internationally-renowned researchers addressing the issues and problems that are most relevant to society through technological, social and cultural innovation. The Office of the Vice President, Research, is committed to supporting the research programmes of U of T Faculty members across all disciplines. In addition to our service units (Research Services Office, the Research Oversight and Compliance Office and the Innovations & Partnerships Office), we also provide value-added services to our researchers through our Research Communications team, our centralized Awards and Honours efforts and through Strategic Initiatives.
In November 2008, Elissa Strome joined the portfolio as our Research and Special Projects Officer, dedicated to pursuing Strategic Initiatives that will add value to the broad research and innovation mandate of the University.
